Bring your lunch and join us while we explore the scientific and spiritual foundations healing with cannabis in an enjoyable and hands on way! We will begin and end with a special plant meditation with the help of Cannabis flower essence. Personal and client case studies will be referred to as we look at the many ways that cannabis has helped many on the healing journey. We will study the endocannabinoid system of the body, and look at the evolution of cannabinoids over time. Cannabidiol (CBD), THC and THCA will be covered in length and will look at the various conditions currently being treated. We will learn and practice right relationship with cannabis; and explore spiritual aspects, whole plant medicine, dosing, determining the psychoactivity levels of plants, and various extractions. A special section on terpenes and flower essences to be covered. We will finish by learning about other medicinal herbs and how they work in synergy with Cannabis. We will practice decarboxylation and use plant medicine to make an oil, tincture, and relaxing tea. All supplies for medicine making, including a beautiful and powerful sungrown CBD strain from a family farm in Humbolt will be assisting.

Introduction to Herbalism

Join us for an introductory herbal experience starting this Fall in San Diego. While this is a great class for beginners, I will also offer support and guidance to more seasoned herbalists who would like to use this time for deeper work with the plants. We will experience the world of native and naturalized medicinal plants in both classroom and outdoor settings. We will learn about local plant communities, plant identification, wildcrafting, materia medica, and building plant relationship, and medicine making opportunities. Classes include 6 weeknight classes and 1 Saturday morning plant identification walk.
Wednesday evenings starting September 27-November 1 (6 evenings)
